Subject: Allgood Spite and Malice v3.0

Allgood Software has released Allgood Spite and
Malice v3.0 (previously named "Cat and Mouse") now
running natively under OS X as a Carbon application.

This software is an implementation of the popular
two player game of patience: "Spite and Malice",
pitting you against the computer, with three levels
of difficulty offered. Spite and Malice has a
number of common variations enjoyed by different
players everywhere, and this latest version of the
software offers support for six different variations
that can be mixed and matched to get the program to
play in a way that is familiar.

Allgood Spite and Malice works on Macintoshes
using OS X, or also with OS 8.6 and above, if CarbonLib
is installed. Registration costs $15, but this version
is a free upgrade to registered users of the older
"Cat and Mouse" software.

that you can take insurance.

o After a split, both hands are visible, and each hand is paid off
accordingly!

o Ability to switch tables!
o 52 Digitized cards ( touched up a bit since the last version )
o Default buttons.
o You get paid off in CHIPS, just like in the casinos!

Here's the latest version of Baker's Dozen. This is version 2.1.1. It
has some very minor changes from version 2.1. The main difference is
that I added a blurb or two about my upcoming game "Eric's Ultimate
Solitaire" which will be shipping this Fall through Delta Tao Software.

Anyway, Baker's Dozen is a one deck solitaire game. An older version
received 3 mice in MacUser. Version 2.1.1 is much better than the
version that was reviewed though.

Baker's Dozen has some cool features like:
Unlimited Undo
Supports color on color machines
Digitized Sounds
Statistics (yay!)
Double clicking to move cards
(You can still drag cards to move 'em around too)

If you like solitaire games you may want to check out my other games,

Now true full screen sizing options with big off-white (easy on the eyes)
beautiful cards, animations, sounds, and arcade-like game-play fun. Beat the
Dragon 3.0 comes alive at last, setting a new design and animation standard
for solitaire games, BTD3 is a must have!

If you don't already know, Beat the Dragon is an original, comical,
addictive and incredibly frusterating solitaire game for your Macintosh.
Beat the Dragon is much more challenging than standard varieties of
patience. Like many solitaire games your aim is to build all 4 foundation
piles, but watch out! There's a dragon with an attitude problem who seems to
have the cards stacked in his favor...your mission: to Beat the Dragon at
his own game (new animated rules in the game show you how it's done).

Hours of fun, hours of frusteration, and hours of laughter...BTD is a must
have for the solitaire expert and those of us who just want one really good
time-waster to play while we wait for long downloads or just to
procrastinate in style!

Be sure to check out our other games and offers at:
http://www.graphicaindustria.com

Beat the Dragon 3.0 fixes many bugs with version 2.5, comes with all new
features, sounds, full screen game-play, animation and design, new laughs,
and a new animated rules demo for beginners but it's the same great game you
love to hate!

Requirements: Any power macintosh with 3MB of free Hard Drive space and
about 4MB of free memory.
Users of Black&White Macintoshes can still download version 1.0 available on
our web site or at most macintosh game archives on the internet.

Beat the Dragon is shareware -- still only $10 to register, and this
entitles you to a personalized copy that gives you extra hints and high
score saving ability. (see 'about' in the game for more information) and
GOOD LUCK (you're going to need it)!

What is Briscola ?

Briscola 1.2 is a card game for Macintosh and PowerMacintosh. This game
is well known in Italy as briscola, but is known as atout for French
people and as trump for English ones. The briscola is the suit of the
card which lies below the pack. Sometimes somebody considers briscola
that card. Any card whose suit is briscola, should be kept jealously to
get as more as opponent's points. The aim is to get more than 60 points,
half of 120 available points. You have to face your opponent 20 times.

Briscola 1.2 requirements

- System 7.0.
- RAM: 1500 KB available for Briscola.
- Color QuickDraw.
- any processor, 680x0 or PowerPC.

What's new in 1.2 ?

- bug removed while opening the preferences file.
- PICT resources reduced to 16 bit.
- some code added to support Roman languages.
- added Italian menus, dialogs, texts.
- better poker pictures for aces, jacks, queens and kings. I changed
these symbols to PICTs, because in Briscola 1.0 and 1.1 I used bitmap
system fonts and they were badly rendered if you have Espi Sans as
system font, as Aaron or Kaleidoscope set at startup.
- even with Trevisan cards the winning ones are inverted now.
- background and font even changed at the end of the game.
- the pack on the table is "deep", so that you can guess how many cards
remain in it.
- sounds are now asynchronous.
- some minor bugs removed.

Briscola 1.2 is a shareware game. Its shareware fee is 5 US$ and the
registration is handled by Kagi. Try also to look at Tencas's home page

Briscola is a traditional Italian card game.

This is the shareware Macintosh version, which runs on any Mac...
However, a color 13" screen and QuickTime 2.0 or better (for music)
are highly recommended....

From: ScottH17@aol.com
Subject: Burbank Rummy 1.2.sit

Burbank Rummy is a variation of the classic rummy card game with a sprinkle of
Canasta and a dash of Oklahoma Gin.

This demo version allows you to play three hands at a time at which point you
can enter your registration code or launch the program again and play another
three hands. Registering the program ($10) grants access to uninterrupted game
play, advanced skill levels and the ability to save games in progress.

System requirements are a '030 processor or later, System 7.1 or later and a
monitor with a 640x480 minimum resolution.

Response has been very good so far with more people than anticipated
registering the program. If you like addictive card games, this is a good one.
Enjoy!

Moderators,

Here is yet another(last for a while I hope) update
of the cardshell games vol #1. I was alerted to a case where they
will crash during startup on an accelerated 68000 machine
without colour quickdraw. The games are meant to just quit gracefully
on any machine without colour QD. This has been fixed. Otherwise
the games are unchanged and people with working copies of the
previous versions do not really need to down load these ones.
Although if they are going to spread the games further, then
it would be a good idea to use these fixed games.

ABOUT THE CARD SHELL GAMES VOLUME #1. v1.0.1
Code and Artwork (c)1992 Ralph S Sutherland.
Portions of code remain (c) Symantec Corp.

Welcome to the first of a series of solitaire card game releases. Volume
#1 is the first four games to be developed with a new card game framework
called the Card Shell. They all use full colour graphics including 40
pack designs and 60 background patterns.

This second 1993 release fixes a few more minor bugs.

Features include:

*They will (should?) work on all Apple screens at any colour depth.
The games require a mac with colour quickdraw capabilities (see below).

*The game applications have automatic saving of the current game
so you can play, quit and restart where you left off.

*They all have full undo and redo features to allow you to step
forward and backwards through a game and even use fast forward
and rewind to give rapid replays.

*Copies of games in play may be saved in sepearate files, in this way
several players could play the same setup and a tournament is possible.
All the saved games include their playing history.

*The game applications are designed with system 7.0 multiprocessing
in mind. When the player is not moving any cards around the games
use almost no cpu cycles and give maximum time to background processes.
When the user starts to play, the games take much more cpu time to give
a nice fast response.

*The shell design uses a shared resource file called 'Cards' which
contains all the bulky colour resources and sounds. This is around
350K. Each game can simultaneously share these reosurces, reducing
the disk space requirements greatly. Each game is about 70-90K.

For more details see the online help in the games ;-)

*****System requirements

They are designed to work best under system 7.0 or newer, although
they will still function with some loss of smoothness under system
6.0.7. The games use full 256 colour colour graphics, but they
have optimisations to work well under all depths from B&W to
32bit colour. However they require a mac with colour quickdraw.
At the moment this includes:

all Mac II computers (including the SE/30), all LCs, all Quadras,
Centris machines, Performas, the Classic II and the Colour Classic.
all powerbooks (except the PB100) and probably all newer macs.

They each want about 1MB of ram under system 7.0 and up to 1.5-2MB under
system 6 without 32bit Quickdraw

350K of disk space. [without file compression ;-)]

From: Dawn MacLaughlin
Subject: crazyeights.sit.hqx version 2.1.2

CrazyEights pits you against the computer in this classic card game. The
object of the game is to get rid of all your cards before your opponent
does. Any player left holding cards when another player goes out is
penalized points for each card held. The game ends when a player's score
exceeds the game limit; the winner is the player with the lowest score.

CrazyEights features:
* 2-4 player action (play against 1-3 computer opponents)
* a variety of options to tailor game play and appearance)
* save and load game capability
* on-line help, including description of the rules of play
* tracking of your win percentage

Changes in version 2.1.2:

* Enhancements for improved performance.

Changes in version 2.1.1:

* On the Mac OS X platform, Options are now accessed via the Preferences
menu item in the Application menu.
* Fixed a bug where, under certain conditions, the first player in a new
game would incorrectly lose a turn.
* Fixed a bug where the turn would not advance if you got into a
situation where all the cards were in players hands - there were no cards
left in the deck to pick up - and the current player had no card to play.

Changes in version 2.1 include:

* Control over the message font: You can now change the font and font
size used for text messages (in the Options window).
* Control over the mouse click between turns.
* The game now remembers the size and position of the main window between
sessions.
* In 2.1, when you save a game, information about the players involved in
the game (their names and associated colors) is saved - this information was
not saved under version 2.0.
* Various elements (particularly in the Options window) now have "tool
tips".

Changes in version 2.0 include:

* Addition of 3 and 4 player games: You may now play games against 2 or 3
computer opponents.
* Save/load game capability.
* Statistics for hands as well as games.
* Cumulative 2's rule added.
* Players now declare "last card".
* Under certain conditions, the wrong player would be reported as the
winner. This has been fixed.

Changes in version 1.5 include:

* Undo
* The position, size, and visibility characteristic (open or not) of the
ScorePad is saved between sessions.
* Statistics can now be reset (in the Statistics window).
* New options allow you to change the background color and the color used
to display messages.
* A separate Help menu item describing the interface is available.
* If the last card played when going out is one that forces a player to
pick up cards, the next player must pick up. (In 1.0, players did not pick
up when someone went out.)

CrazyEights requires OS X 10.1.3 with Java 1.3.1 Update 1.

CrazyEights is distributed as shareware. You may try out the game for 15
days, after which game play is disabled. A single-user license costs $10.

InterStellar Software presents Egyptian Solitaire. This is a simple and
addictive solitaire game my Mom taught me as a child. The cards are
shuffled and 28 cards are dealt face-up and overlapping in the shape of a
pyramid. The remainder of the cards are turned over one at a time. You
then try to take cards off the pyramid that are either one higher or one
lower in value. You continue until either you run out of cards to turn
over or you clear the pyramid. The game saves low scores and you have the
option of showing cards that are legal plays.

Egyptian Solitaire is shareware. The license is $5. We hope you enjoy the
game and show it to all of your friends.

500 is a game of tricks - the highest bidder attempts to win at least as many

hence: 500! 500 is related to Whist, Bridge and Euchre.

It's only black-and white, but I like it!

When the new Hearts game was uploaded, I noticed that this old gem isn't
available in any of the major archives, which is a shame, since it is one
of the best games I've ever played on the Mac. No color, no sounds, just
a straight and simple implementation of Hearts - but for some reason, it
has an excellent replay value. The opponents play rather well, which makes
it pretty hard to win.

The game is from 1987, I think, and works just fine under System 7.
(Someone has added a SIZE resource, setting it to 100k, which is too
little under Sys 7, but with 130k, it works.) Might conflict with MAZ.

Freecell for Mac (free-cell-10.hqx)

From: ahung@Telcel.Net.VE (Alberto Hung)
Subject: Freecell for Mac

Freecell is a card game similar to Klondike, but where we can only move
one card at a time.
In the game we find: 8 stacks of cards, 4 home cells and 4 free cells.
To win, we must move all the cards from the stacks to the home cells.
Since we can move just one card at a time, we use the free cells as
temporary storage.
To move a card to another stack, we must observe the same rules as in
Klondike:
- the card must have a value 1 less than the value of the card on top
of the stack
- the card and the card on top of the stack must have different colors
- to move to the home cells, the card must have a value that follows
the value of the card in the home cell; and they must be of the same
suit.
- we can also move a card to an empty free cell or an empty stack.
The program provides a shortcut for moving several cards. When we click
on the source stack and on the destination stack, the program will
determine which cards can be moved and will move them.
This is my second program for Macintosh. I used CW9 C++ and POV-Ray 3.0
for the graphics.
Enjoy!
Shareware fee: $10.

From: Adrian Herzog

Gallery is a classical solitaire card game with following
particularities:

- Comparison of your score with the result of a "non-strategy" (i.e.
doing all legal moves in random order): Because of the great amount
of unpredictable situations even a good player looses games (about
20%).
- Statistics: The scores are recorded and evaluated; for further
analysis you can write them out to a text file.
- CAP: "computer aided playing" (optional). Level 1: Markers indicate
movable cards. Level 2: Gallery does evident, unproblematic moves
automatically for you. In most situations you have the choice from
different movable cards (or in many situations, to wait with some moves).
Thus, you concentrate your efforts in taking good decisions instead
of looking for movable cards.

Changes in version 3.0: Extended CAP options, minor bug fixing,
balloon help, preference file etc.

Gallery is free (but my children like postcards). Enjoy!

This is version 2.0 of my Gin Rummy program. I am releasing this
version as shareware for $10. The program can be run on any Macintosh
computer. It requires 410K of memory and is 32-bit clean. This
submission is a binhexed, Stuffit 1.5.1 archive.

Gin Rummy is the well known card game for two people. The program
allows you to play against the computer. Documentation is available
online and as a "read me" file.

Version 2.0 has the following major enhancements:

1) You can move images of the cards instead of their outlines. You
can grab cards instead of dragging them. You can click to move a
card instead of clicking to select a card.

2) You can modify the points for bonuses and the points needed to
end a game.

3) You can keep a tally of the winner's victories and points.

4) You can now undo "draw a card" and "pick up discard."

5) I added the Oklahoma game variation.

In addition, several other minor problems were fixed. The changes are
documented in the "read me" file.

FREEVERSE RELEASES HEARTS DELUXE
MICROSOFT HUMBLED

NEW YORK‹Freeverse Software today announced the release of the latest versions of
their popular card game Hearts Deluxe for Mac and PC.

Freeverse Software is arguably the smallest software company with the possible of
exception of "Timmy, the 7th-Grade Hacker." Nevertheless, they have consistently
released board and parlor games of the highest quality. Previous releases of
Hearts Deluxe have received rave reviews from Ziff-Davis Interactive,
MacWorld/MacUser, PC Computing, and C/NET among others

This success has not gone unnoticed in Redmond.

Perhaps in response to Freeverse's fierce competition, Microsoft has chosen to
bundle a free copy of their unremarkable program "MS Hearts" with Windows 95.
While it may be possible to remove MS Hearts without breaking Windows 95, we have
been afraid to try.

We are undaunted. Our Hearts Deluxe features a rich 3-D perspective, variable
skill levels, a full tutor mode, opponents ranging from Bill Clinton to the Mad
Hatter, a Boss Coming feature, full manual and strategy guide. The Macintosh
version also features telepathy and voice recognition.

Hearts Deluxe 5.0 for Macintosh requires three megabytes of RAM and System 7.0 or
later. Hearts Deluxe 2.0 for Windows requires three megabytes of RAM and Windows
3.x, 95 or NT.

Hearts Deluxe is available as shareware or in a CD-ROM version. It is available
from WWW.FREEVERSE.COM or wherever better shareware is found.

Freeverse Software is a leading developer and publisher of shareware computer
games for the Macintosh and PC. Freeverse is the recipient of numerous industry
awards and has been featured in WIRED magazine and TIME DIGITAL among others.
Other games from Freeverse include, Enigma, Reversi: The Eclipse, X-Words Deluxe,
CrossCards and Burning Monkey Solitaire, as well as the forthcoming Spades
Deluxe.

Freeverse is also the maker of the popular anti-productivity suites ³JARED:
Butcher of Song² and ³SimStapler Œ98.²

HoldemMaster simulates and analyzes a type of poker game called Texas
Hold'em. Texas Hold'em is most widely played poker game in cardrooms
and casinos. This seemingly simple, fast action game attracts many
new players every year but actually it's a very complex game. You can
use HoldemMaster as a tool to improve your game or just play for fun
against "smart" computer players.

The object of the game is to make best five-card poker hand from seven
total cards (two in your hand and five community cards). The
community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table and can
be used by all players. There are four betting rounds and when it's
your turn to act you can either fold, call, bet, or raise.

Some of its features are:
* Play against upto 9 "smart" computer players.
* Display detailed pot odds for every hands you play.
* Display every possible hands for the current board cards.
* Set starting hands based on player position and pot status.
* Comprehensive strategy dialogs to create new players.
* Set check & raise, deception, and bluffing frequencies.
* Click and drag to stack the deck.
* Auto deal (on PowerMac 50MHz about 25,000 hands per minute!).
* Report dialogs to analyze the game.
* Set game limit, blinds, rake, toke, # of players, etc.
* Customize table colors and card backs.
* Excellent Graphics & Sounds!

Hi There!

I finally released my first game - a very clean implementation of the
famous solitaire card game.

WARNING! This is an addictive game!

King's Corner will runn on any Macintosh running System 7.x.x or greater
with ColorQuickDraw (PowerBooks and PowerPCs too!). King's Corner works
with multiple monitors in any bit depth (although it looks a bit skanky
in black and white).

See "HOW TO PLAY" in the about box for more information. Feel free to
give this to anybody with a Macintosh.

Thanks for playing.

P.S.
Yes! it is too possible to win -- I'm sure!

I apologize for the laziness for not personalizing everyone's account.
I had only figured on a few people being interested in receiving the
game. I have sent the game to Sumex-Aim, so hopefully they will archive
it.
Here is the copy of MacJong V0.20 that I agreed to send. I would be
most appreciative of anyone who can translate the score sheet and the
instruction screen. Also, if anybody can figure out how to win the
game without having to play each "book" singly, please tell me!

I had mentioned that I would be willing to help someone redesign or
improve a Mahjongg game. My intention is not to be the driving force in
this endeavor. I would not know the first thing in programming a Mac game.
But I can color, draw, test, and the such. In other words, I wouldn't mind
being a "little helper"!!!!! Possibly a collaborative effort from many????

The game is right behind this mailing. It has been BinHexed and compressed
by Stuffit Deluxe 3.06.

Happy playing and may the East winds calm your dragon.
Please recycle.

Here's a new version of the card game "Mille Bornes". Some of you may
remember "1000 Miles" by Robert Harris; well, I re-wrote it to look a bit

The program requires an 8-bit, 13" (or larger) monitor, in order to run.
Also, the sound doesn't work unless you're running system 7.

From: lostpoet@pipeline.com (erin o keenan)
Subject: MixFAT -- A card game where you look for "sets"

Mix requires system 7 and 450k of free memory. Color is highly recomended,
but not neccessary.

Mix is postcard-if-your-nice-but-e-mail-if-your-not-ware.

Mix is a card game very similar to Set®...
Up to 5 players (human or cpu) play competively and search for "sets"...
When a player sees a set, he/she/it buzzes in and enters the set.

Cards are composed of 4 elements; shape, color, fill, and number. A set is
3 cards on which each element is either the same across all the cards, or
differant on each card.

Addictive to some, though I think it's just fun...

Following the success of our previous shareware card games, InterStellar
MacCribbage and Egyptian Solitaire, InterStellar Software presents Monte
Carlo Solitaire. As in Egyptian Solitaire, Monte Carlo Solitaire is a
simple and addictive solitaire game. 25 cards are dealt in a 5x5 grid,
then adjacent pairs are removed. Holes in the board are then filled in
from the rest of the deck. The object is to remove all the cards from the
board with the least possible deals. The game saves low scores.

Monte Carlo Solitaire 1.0 is shareware. The license is $5. We hope you

From: Angela Brett
Subject: Once in a Lifetime 2.0

Once in a Lifetime is a simple (but addictive) one-player card game
for HyperCard. It has a high-score list, statistics, and full
'balloon help'-style help, including an 'Autoplay' option which lets
the computer play the game by itself. It should work on any Mac with
HyperCard 2.1 or later and a 640x400 or larger screen.

* The cards are larger, with proper picture cards which have pictures
of real and fictional people on them - anyone from Princess Diana
(Queen of Hearts) to Fred Flintstone (King of Clubs.) There are also
Apple cards instead of Spades - I'd rather have Steve Wozniak in my
picture cards than some gardeners.
* Jokers have been added, which can do some pretty naughty things
like steal cards and change your score.
* I've fixed a problem in resetting the high scores, so that you
don't have to save them as a text file before resetting them.
* This version includes statistics on how many games you've played,
average score, how many (and the percentage of) games you've won, and
a rating which reflects your scoring, wins, and number of games
played.
* You can now import highscores from OIAL highscore files saved using
this or earlier versions of Once in a Lifetime.
* More new sounds

Solitaire House is a new multi-game solitaire card game for
the Macintosh (68k and PPC).

Solitaire House features 30 solitaire games, and perhaps more
important, a scalable design that lets it fill just about any
Mac screen. Most games only fill 640x480, but Solitaire House
is just as happy in 800x600 or even more – or less! It also
has the largest cards of any Mac solitaire game, and one of
the prettiest sets of honor cards.

Among the 30 included games are the well-known Klondike, Spider,
Freecell (here named Napoleon), Montana, Canfield, 40 Thieves
and Pyramid. You will also find games you never played before.

Features:
- Multi-step undo and redo.
- Key commands for highlighting legal moves or specific
groups of cards (e.g. all spades or all 5's).
- On-line rules for all games.
- Auto-saves the game when you quit.
- 13 different music scores.
- Supports individual user profiles for every user.
- Fills just about any Mac screen, from 9" to modern high-res screens!
- 5 card sizes, from tiny to the largest you ever saw on a Mac.
- Works on any Mac. (68040 or PPC recommended. System 6.0.7 and up.)

The game is shareware, $20.

This is a small, stand alone game, of the popular version of peg
solitaire. It works well on any new world mac, which has Carbonlib 1.73,
and has been tested on the latest versions of OS X.

When I wrote this game, I had the imac balls, in mind. The object of the
game is to clear the balls, from the board, leaving only one ball in the
centre socket. There are many combinations, to achive this.

You may select from any colour of ball, and background. SolitairePD is
the public domain version of this game, less source. Some people are
required to register, see enclosed documentation for further

Already frustrated by the inability to find a decent cup of joe at home, Zebulon happily hopped in his saucer and made his way here to Earth. While waiting for Martin Scorscese to return his calls about a screen test, Zeb wiles away the hours playing cards, smoking Luckys and hurting cattle, bad.

Speed/Mac 1.11a is a game based on the card game Speed. It requires two
players on two Macs on a network. It should work with Apple Remote
Access, but we don't have ARA to test it and nobody has told us whether
or not it works. If you can test it, please do and let us know! Includes
the ability to send a message to your opponent, using the HyperNet
Messaging System. Since HyperNet's implementation in Speed/Mac 1.1
predates Listener and Communicator, it cannot communicate with them. The
object is to get rid of your cards before the other player, but to put a
card down it has to be before or after the top card of either of the two
piles. Requires HyperCard 2. Shareware, US$20.00 for one copy or US$38.00

Super Mac Freecell is a super addictive solitaire card game. What makes
Super Mac Freecell more interesting than most solitaire card games is
that the possibilities to win are only limited by talent. Nearly every
game (approximately 99.99 %) of Super Mac Freecell can be won. This
doesn't mean it is simple. Far from it, there is room for almost
limitless improvement. This makes Super Mac Freecell much more
interesting than solitaire variations like Klondike, where luck is a
large factor in the game.

Super Mac Freecell is US$15 shareware. It is available from the BrBo
Software web site and
all major Macintosh shareware ftp sites. Version 1.5 is a free upgrade
to registered users of any earlier version.

System Requirements: Any Apple Macintosh or other computer running MacOS
System 7.0 or later. Super Mac Freecell is distributed as a Fat Binary
that runs on 680x0 machines and PowerPC computers. Super Mac Freecell
is MacOS 8 compatible.

New Features in Super Mac Freecell 1.5

* Multi-Column Moves
Now Super Mac Freecell will handle large column moves with utmost ease by
using empty columns as temporary space to move cards into.

* Unlimited Undo
You can now undo your game all the way back to the start. And when you save
your game, the undo history is saved with the game.

* Add-on Deck Support
Have as many card faces as you want, just add them on. The format is easy to
build and anyone can make a card face.

* Game on hold
Allows you to quit the program with an unfinished game. When you start your
next session of Freecell you're given the option to finish the game from the last
session.

* Improved User Interface
Improved preferences dialog makes things easier, combined with other little fixes
make playing Super Mac Freecell even more enjoyable.

Ultimate Blackjack is designed to provide the feel of a gambling casino
with realistic card dealing at a table with six players whose chips move
across the table when hands are won or lost. The user can learn to play
Blackjack better, by having a hint window displayed if an incorrect play
is made, or having the program deal only specific types of hands, like
pairs or soft hands, so these can be practiced directly. Card counting
can also be practiced.

Going beyond the standard casino games, Ultimate Blackjack can show how
much money a particular strategy will win (or lose) in Las Vegas, and
even draws a histogram showing the distribution of outcomes. The
statistical package tracks the payoff on each card combination to
understand the best play. You can even experiment with two artificial
intelligence routines, the genetic algorithm and learning agents, to see
if a computer can learn to play Blackjack. Good Luck!

Ultimate Blackjack is shareware with a fee of $10 and includes a 46 page
manual. Version 2.2 fixes a couple of small bugs in version 2.1.

UNO is a game for two or more players in which the object is to get rid of
all your cards before your opponent does. If you are the first player to go
out, you are awarded the point values of all the cards still held by other
players. The first player to reach a certain number of points (usually 500)
wins.

UNO uses a special deck of 108 cards that features number cards (0 through
9) and word cards. Word cards cause special actions when played (such as
reversing the direction of play or causing an opponent to pick up cards and
lose a turn). Each card in the deck belongs to one of four colors: Red,
Green, Blue, and Yellow (colors are analogous to suits in a standard deck of
cards) - except for wild cards, which have no specific color. A legal play
essentially involves matching the color, number, or word of the previously
played card.

UNO features:
* 2-4 player action (play against 1-3 computer opponents)
* a variety of options to tailor game play and appearance
* save/load game capability
* on-line help, including detailed description of the rules of play
* tracking of your win percentage

Changes in version 2.1.2:

Changes in version 2.1.1:
