After my little Mercari floppy window shopping spree the other day I ended up buying this guy for ¥300 shipped ($1.85).

First of all, who ate the watermelons?

A floppy disk in a zip loc baggieThe baggie has a drawing of 6 watermelon sliders, of which 5 have bites taken out of them.At the bottom it says “Who are the watermelons?”

Hmm… something doesn't quite look right

Yes, it's not a floppy, but rather it's a calculator in a floppy shell! Very cute.

The front of a floppy, except the label portion has a calculator keypad. The floppy shutter says HOTEL ROYAL OAK 五反田 The same photo but the floppy shutter is opened, revealing a solar panel and an LCD display. The LCD is showing the number 1337.

One more thing I picked up was this 5.25-inch floppy for another ¥300.

It has physical damage on the media so it doesn't work, but I have literally not touched a 5.25-inch floppy in 35 years so I just wanted it as an object.
