Currently taking my family on a 2-week camping road trip from Kyushu to Hokkaido and back.
It was raining so last night we found lodging. We stayed in an old elementary school that had been active between 1878 - 1989 and is now repurposed as a hostel of sorts.
There was a scroll on the wall with year by year major events in the school history and for 1960 it had down that they got color TV!
