Subject: Project Magellan Demo 2.02 (horizontal space shooter)
Plaid World
release of our new game Project Magellan, a high resolution, horizontal,
space shooter for the Mac OS including 68K and PowerPC CPUs. Two years in
the making, Project Magellan is a high speed space shooter in the vein of
R-Type and Raiden 2.
The Story:
On the 1000th year anniversary of Ferdinand Magellan's trip around the
world, the United Earth Government, in a commemorative gesture,
commissioned an armada of space ships to explore the universe. Shortly
after embarking on their quest, the armada was attacked by a mysterious
alien battle cruiser. In response to this unprovoked destruction of one of
the armada's ships, two assault fighters were launched to engage the enemy.
The alien battle cruiser soon turned to flee through a nearby worm hole,
with the two fighters in pursuit. Now trapped in another dimension, the
two fighters are faced with the continuous onslaught of hordes of alien
craft.
Project Magellan Demo requires:
* A Macintosh PowerPC or a 68040 CPU.
* 8 MB of free RAM for 8 bit color play or.
- 5 MB of Real RAM + 3 MB of virtual memory or RAM Doubler.
* 14 MB of Free RAM for 16 Bit Color or
- 8 MB of Real RAM + 6 MB of virtual memory or RAM Doubler.
* A 256 ( 8 Bit ) color monitor 640 x 480.
* System 7 or greater.
