Picked up this book: "Sayonara bombs!" a troubleshooting guide to System 7. Along with generic system maintenance tips and explanations of a whole range of errors, it also dives into decoding sad mac codes and system error codes.

A red book with an illustration of a bomb on it and the text 爆弾ょサヨウナラ! A book page showing sad mac error codes A book page with a list of error codes

But more importantly it has these super cute illustrations!

I'm going to have to scan these...

An illustration of a Mac Colour Classic with his hand out refusing coffee Illustrations: A man bowing to a mac colour classic that is saying OKA desktop mac with a confused face and wavy mouth, with confusing noises coming out of it A mac colour classic in a wheelchair A desktop mac and a mac colour classic wearing face masks

There was also this random photo from 1992 someone had left in the book…

A photo of a wood with a house and power line visible

OK I've scanned them all!

You can find the scans on GlobalTalk in the Blackbird share in BaroNet as PICT files

or, uh, if you're one of the few people not on GlobalTalk yet, you can find PNGs on the web here https://kalleboo.com/linked/cute_macs/

A screenshot of System 7 with a folder Cute Mac Drawings and a bunch of PICT files, and one is open of a nurse scaring a Mac Colour Classic with a needle
