I bought the Apple USB-C to Lightning adapter that they claim provides support for "charging, data and audio” on iPhone and iPads with USB-C.
Awaiting the new iPhone, meanwhile put it to the test on a MacBook Pro M1 to see if I could get anything to work!
Works:
• Audio accessories
• Charging (albeit really slowly…)
Doesn't work:
• USB drives or SD card adapters
• Ethernet devices (these work on iPhone!)
• Video adapters (did not expect this to work!)
